All this back and forth from the east cost to the west coast has me exhausted. Happy to be back in the sunshine though – what a view! Really looking forward to having a few days to relax soon.

Hey guys. I just landed in L.A, one of my favorite cities. I’m so excited for The Oscars tonight. Going to a private party after and I’m really hoping to meet some cool industry people, including Ben Affleck (who I think definitely should have been nominated for Best Director).

LA. My kinda town. Been out here in SoCal since Coachella and now I don’t wanna leave. I just love the scene goin’ on out here. The tourists are known to cruise through LA lookin’ for their shot at seeing a celebrity or two. Bet they’d freak at the chance to end up singing Karaoke with ‘em? Here’s a true but random story. I won’t reveal any names (‘cause they’ve sworn me to secrecy), but let me just say that me and a few faces you see on the magazine covers each week were just tearing up the mic Karaoke style like we were on Idol. If only Seacrest and my man Steve T. were here to witness it all. Was pretty classic. I’m no Karaoke pro or anything, and I tried not to be too cool for it all and ended up having fun. Ike and I had a Karaoke machine in the office that we’d goof off with sometimes. But it always ended badly. Ike would say I took it too seriously (c’mon dude, music is in my blood!!) and he always chose the slow, cheesy ballads from the 80’s. Talk about torture. Anyway, so long LA. Headin’ to Austin first thing in the A.M. Pysched to see The Black Keys & Arctic Monkey. Later.
